「特別展示 海に生きて－海洋学者 宇田道隆－」は平成24(2012)年10月17日（水）～12月21日（金）の開催期間中、2,582名の方が訪れました。
また、期間中の11月2日・4日に行ったギャラリートークには29名の方が参加してくださいました。
